Carry out proactive and reactive compliance and enforcement checks in pursuance with each relevant legal requirement to promote public safety, including prosecution, preparation and attendance at court as required.
Provide advice, information and guidance on licensing matters to the public and other services and agencies as required face to face, by telephone or email. Develop partnership working with responsible authorities and partners.
Use business specific IT systems for preparing reports and maintain accurate data records.
*ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:*
* A working awareness, knowledge and understanding of local authority legislation, its application and processes
* Ability to deal with enforcement and compliance using tact, diplomacy and flexibility to meet the needs of the service
* Worked with IT in an office/administrative environment including the use of data bases and Microsoft programmes.
