Listen, we know we’ve sent a lot of emails since Ruben launched his Senate campaign. Probably more than you get from some family and friends. And we understand that it can be a lot. No doubt.

But please give us a chance to explain why we’ve sent this many emails, and what they mean to our campaign.

Here is the truth:

Ruben’s campaign is going to be funded primarily by lots of people making small donations. That’s how it’s been these first three days, and how it will be for the whole campaign.

And there is no greater source of those donations than emails we’ve been sending.

And there is literally no more important time for people to give than during this launch phase. Right now, we are at a financial disadvantage and every dollar is essential to help us build the foundation for a winning campaign.

So we hope you’ll consider these emails a small price to pay for a Senator who doesn’t have to beg hedge fund managers and pharmaceutical executives for money.
