In just one year of full-time study, or two years part time, the online HPL
program will help you understand and bridge health care, law, policy and community by:
- Gaining the knowledge you need to effectively understand and navigate legal, policy, and implementation challenges in health and healthcare
- Learning leadership skills and practices for advancing change
- Connecting with experts from both UCSF and UC Law San Francisco, leading institutions in health sciences and law
- Learning in an innovative online format that makes it possible for you to work and apply what you are learning in real time
- Developing expertise and solutions around current healthcare problems through a capstone project
The HPL has brought together clinicians, lawyers, researchers, journalists, investors, community advocates, academics, and others who are committed to learning and sharing knowledge across fields to improve health and healthcare. Join the bridge-builders and changemakers for health.
"The Health Policy and Law program challenged me intellectually, deepened my understanding of the policy making process and helped me develop the tools to advance health equity on a broader scale." — Colin James, HPL ‘19
