They're using the courts to come after Planned Parenthood and patients — again

PLANNED PARENTHOOD
The state of Texas and an anonymous plaintiff are suing the three Texas Planned Parenthood affiliates and Planned Parenthood Federation of America for nearly $1.8 billion in an attempt to shut us down. Their meritless lawsuit alleges that Planned Parenthood health centers defrauded the state's Medicaid system by getting reimbursed for providing birth control, cancer screenings, and other basic health care services.

The allegations are false — a previous court ruled that Planned Parenthood affiliates could provide these services. Worse, Texas knew affiliates were providing the services, reimbursed them for the services, and never asked the affiliates to repay the state before launching this blatant politically-motivated lawsuit.

It's another dishonest, baseless attack, part of a coordinated campaign to try to shut down Planned Parenthood. And if it works, it will threaten access to health care in Texas and potentially nationwide.

Tell Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and Attorney General Ken Paxton to drop this politically-motivated lawsuit and end the attacks on Planned Parenthood health centers and patients.

The facts are clear: Planned Parenthood health centers did nothing wrong. They legally provided essential health care services to thousands of Texans, including birth control, STI testing and treatment, and lifesaving cancer screenings.

But people like Greg Abbott and Ken Paxton don't care about the facts. They are abusing their power to strip Texans of their access to sexual and reproductive health care and to try to get rid of Planned Parenthood.

Speak out to protect health centers and patients. Send your message to Gov. Abbott and AG Paxton with just one click.

Opponents of reproductive rights have weaponized the courts to go after abortion access, birth control, and other reproductive health care. Every new attack is more extreme than the last. And each time they get away with it, they are emboldened to go further. We can't let baseless legal attacks succeed at cutting patients off from care.

Tell Texas: Drop this lawsuit and stop the attacks on patients and providers.

Thank you for standing with us against these attacks, every single time.
