John, ever since we launched in 2017, we’ve worked hard to elect District Attorneys who will hold police accountable, free innocent people, and fight for our rights.
The results speak for themselves: we’ve helped elect 35 justice champions in some of America’s biggest cities.
In 2023, we are working to expand the progressive prosecutor movement even more, and if you’ve seen fewer emails from us recently, it’s because we are in one of the most important phases of our decision-making process of which District Attorneys to support in 2023.
During the endorsement process we sit down together, discuss many different races, and find progressive candidates who share our values and have shown they will fight for accountability, justice, and real public safety for people in their cities.
And as dedicated supporters of our movement, we want YOU to be part of this conversation and let us know if there are candidates for DA in your area who we should consider supporting.
This movement is powered by the people, and that’s why we want this to be a collective effort where we get input from people who are involved in the community, and are familiar with the candidates that have the courage and mindset to bring transformative policies to their DA’s office.
In this fight to reduce mass incarceration, police violence and injustice, having a strong civil-rights minded leader in the DAs office is crucial. The DA’s office has the power to end the prosecution of simple marijuana possession, stop cash bail, shift resources in the right places to better serve the community, and so much more.
And our best asset in finding and electing justice minded DAs like that across the country is YOU.
We want you to be involved in every step of the way — from searching, to endorsing, to supporting in the different ways that you can, until Election Day when our Real Justice-backed candidates win and are able to transform justice in our communities.
