John,

Conservatives dominate committee chairmanships in the Texas
Senate thanks to Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick's leadership.

With Republicans in charge of almost all Senate leadership
positions, Lt. Gov. Patrick assured Texans that Senate priority
bills "will address the concerns of the conservative majority."

SUPPORT THE TEXAS GOP:

The Texas Senate sets the example for conservative leadership
under a Republican majority, and we applaud Lt. Gov. Patrick for
being 8 years ahead of RPT's priority push, decreasing the number
of Democrats holding Senate chairmanships from 32%, before he
took office in 2015, to now only one. And the only Democrat
Senator is soon leaving the body to run for Mayor, meaning soon
there will be no Democrat Committee Chairs in the Texas Senate!

Chairing a committee is a powerful position in Texas. The
chairman of any given committee single-handedly determines which
bills make it beyond their desk. With border security,
indoctrination in schools, and parents' rights on the line, it is
imperative that Republicans maintain the power of committee
chairs.
