The federal government has officially hit its debt ceiling, and the House GOP has decided that the United States of America should simply throw its bills in the trash.
By not raising the debt ceiling, Republicans are blatantly holding the American economy hostage, so they can cut Medicare and Social Security benefits. Chris strongly believes that America must keep its promises to seniors and pay the debts it owes.
During the Trump administration, Republicans overwhelmingly voted to raise the debt ceiling three times without trying to push their agenda and hold our country hostage.
