Now that Republicans have taken control of the House, you can bet Congress
won’t be getting a whole lot done over the next two years. There will
undoubtedly be absurd hearings and investigations and attempts at plunging the
global economy into chaos from extremists.

But while we’re busy facing many unknown challenges of a Congress controlled
by people completely disinterested in governing and helping the American
people, we thought it would be useful to look back on some of the great things
Congress and President Biden were able to accomplish with Democrats in charge.

First, Democrats passed the American Rescue Plan, which put $1,200 into
Americans’ pockets and provided critical funding to combat the COVID-19
pandemic and vaccinate tens of millions around the country – saving countless
lives.

Then, they passed three important bills in succession in the lead-up to the
2022 elections.The Inflation Reduction Act, which helped bring costs down for
working families and made the largest investment in combating climate change in
history; theCHIPS and Science Act which will allow the United States to better
compete with China in manufacturing; and thePACT Act, which provides
much-needed and deserved health care for Veterans who had been exposed to burn
pits.

Democrats even worked WITH Republicans to pass two critical pieces of
legislation. First they passed Bipartisan Infrastrucutre Act which invests
billions of dollars around the country to create better, more advanced
infrastructure. Then, Congress passed theRespect for Marriage Act which
enshrines the right to same-sex marriage and interracial marriage into federal
law!

None of this would be possible without a Democratic-controlled House AND
Senate. Montana has a chance to ensure that the Senate stays blue, and we will
have a chance to take our Ryan Zinke and Matt Rosendale.
