After far-right politician Jair Bolsonaro lost his reelection bid to be President of Brazil, his supporters stormed government buildings in an attempt to undermine his country’s election; an event that was eerily similar to the January 6 insurrection here in the U.S.
When failed insurrectionists walk free … when the very leaders who orchestrated the coup evade consequences, America is not only failing its own people but abdicating its global responsibilities.
And People For Supporter, we need more Defenders of Democracy at our side to ensure justice is served—and that this dangerous precedent does not ripple throughout democracies around the world.
