Dear John --

As the Finance Director for Carolyn Long’s campaign, and as a longtime district resident, I see firsthand why folks in our district have a stake in this race. I understand what’s behind a donation of any amount -- $3, $30, or $300 -- for better representation in Washington’s Third.

Whether it’s prescription drug affordability or investing in our local workforce, we all have a reason we’re in this fight.

For Carolyn, it’s personal.

Carolyn is the daughter of two small business owners who always has working families on her mind. She spent over a decade working at her family’s produce store and as a union employee in a Safeway produce department -- jobs that helped her learn the value of hard work and pay for college.

I know that when she gets to Congress, she’s going to fight to invest in our small businesses and work to provide family-wage jobs so we can thrive. But John, she’s not going to get there without your help.
