John, did you see
this headline in Axios yesterday?

Our opponents — from corporate moderate Democrats to right-wing
conservatives — aren’t taking a single day off, which means only one
thing: We can’t afford to slow down.
If our opponents catch us sleeping, even during a year typically
considered a political “off-year,” they will be able to pull ahead of us.
And in this case, our opponent being a moderate PAC means they’ll be able
to accept millions of dollars in corporate donations. That’s not an
exaggeration, John:
“The Moderate PAC, an organization of centrist Democrats, plans to raise $20
million… in 2024 primary fights with progressives, Axios has learned.”
Yes, you read that right: They’re planning on raising TWENTY MILLION
DOLLARS to fight against progressive champions like Cori and the Squad.
Cori and our movement have always been grassroots funded. Instead of
corporate PAC or lobbyist money, we’re supported by the working folks and
families that Cori fights for every day in Washington. And we wouldn’t
have it any other way.
But it also means that we need to reach out and make sure we’re able to
raise the money we need to fight back against this upcoming onslaught of
moderate PAC money.
That’s why we’re asking: [ [link removed] ]Can you rush your
first
$5 donation today to help us prepare for the expected
attacks on Cori and our progressive movement? We need all hands on deck if
we’re going to be able to stand up against $20 million.

Thanks for your support,
John. We couldn’t do it without you.
