Dear friend,

Sunday should have been the 50th anniversary of Roe v. Wade. Then anti-choice extremists on the Supreme Court struck it down.

Since the decision came out in May, organizers have fought to defend our reproductive rights. Here in New York, we've expanded abortion protections for out-of-state patients and defended abortion care for New York college students.

Nationally, we've taken steps to protect patients by ensuring abortion pills are available at pharmacies and by mail.

This was possible because of years of community organizing at every level. It's a clear sign of what's possible — and a reminder of how important this work is. Anti-choice Republicans are attacking our rights, and it's time to show up and fight back. That's why I'm fighting to get progressive leaders elected at every level. Are you with me?

Top Republicans have been advocating for a national abortion ban, Republican-led states across the country have been passing more and more restrictive laws, and IVF and birth control are on the line.

We need to fight back, and that means we can't take anything for granted. Let's get to it.

Together,
Nydia
