The GOP does not lead with working people in mind.

Last week, Republicans introduced a proposal to get rid of all federal taxes — including estate and corporate income taxes — and replace the revenue with a 30% federal sales tax. Meaning anything you buy, from food to clothes would have an additional 30% cost added to it, while corporations rake in even higher profits.
This so-called “Fair Tax Act” is a direct attack and burden on working people and a gift to the ultra-wealthy. It is a slap in the face to the actual needs of the American people.
We can't let Republicans get away with this without a fight.

It’s clear that the GOP will continue to throw anything and everything at the wall that will stick to keep their rich corporate donors happy, but not actually do anything for the working class. We don’t need gimmicks, we need affordable housing, universal health care, and good-paying union jobs.
Governing should always be about putting the needs of our communities first, it’s hard enough to pass good legislation without having to fight corporate handouts like the Fair Tax Act.
Together, we can take back the House for the people.
