Today I joined patients, providers, activists, and my Democratic Senate colleagues to mark what should have been the 50th anniversary of
Roe v. Wade.
For the first time in five decades, Americans aren’t celebrating having a constitutional right to make their own decisions about their health and their bodies.
We now know that the Supreme Court’s disastrous decision last summer emboldened the extremist Republicans. This Congress, they have already introduced
not one – but two – anti-abortion pieces of legislation.
We need to do everything we can to stand against any effort to restrict the right of all Americans to make their own healthcare decisions. I need you with me in this fight.
