[ [link removed] ]Adam Schiff for Congress
I’ve got that same sickening feeling again today.
Anger. If you’ve followed the news the past few days, you probably feel it
too.
[ [link removed] ]If you’re ready to do something about it, please join me by splitting a
contribution to Giffords PAC, Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund, and
the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence to do good work on gun safety
and replace cowardly Republican politicians with people who will act to
save lives.
My heart grieves for the people of Monterey Park. Oakland. Half Moon Bay.
And the lives lost. My prayers are with the communities, the victims, and
the families whose lives have been torn asunder by yet more acts of wanton
gun violence.
But not just my thoughts and prayers, my actions too. Like all of you.
California and Californians are hurting. We have experienced 3 mass
shootings in 3 days. That’s merely a slice of the more than 300 people
shot each day in this country. A country demanding action.
I’m not going to grovel at the feet of Kevin McCarthy and Mitch McConnell
and beg them for a change of heart. They have made their political careers
by standing unblinkingly by the NRA, and I don’t expect they will change
now.
[ [link removed] ]So today, I’m asking you to make a contribution to Giffords PAC,
Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund, and the Brady Campaign to Prevent
Gun Violence to put a stop to this violence. It doesn’t have to be this
way. We can act. We MUST act.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your split
donation to Giffords PAC, Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, and
Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund will go through immediately:

Just yesterday, I talked to you about Monterey Park — my experience
representing that beautiful city in Congress and the countless hours I’ve
spent at that intersection at Garfield and Garvey. I spent some time
talking with community members and leaders there on Sunday, grieving with
them.
I wish I had been wrong, but as long as Kevin McCarthy and Mitch McConnell
are too cowardly to act, it is a virtual guarantee that this horrific
violence will continue.
It happened in my backyard this week, tomorrow or the next day it will
happen someplace else. If we don’t act to stop gun violence now.
So let’s act. Let’s all do our part.
Thanks for joining me — and doing something about it.
