The Biden administration plans to send M1 Abrams tanks to Ukraine, U.S. officials said on Tuesday, in what would be a major step in arming Kyiv as it tries to seize back its territory from Russia, as the NYT reports.

Finland Could Join NATO without Sweden

Finland still hopes to join NATO alongside its neighbor Sweden but could be forced to reconsider if Stockholm’s application is stalled, the Finnish foreign minister said Tuesday, as The Washington Post reports.

Janet Yellen Expects EV Subsidy Rules to Prompt New Trade Deals

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said Japan and the European Union would need to negotiate new trade agreements with the U.S. to meet the mineral-sourcing requirements for an overhauled electric-vehicle tax subsidy, as the WSJ reports.
