Last week, several Students Demand Action volunteers and I went to Las
Vegas to call out the gun industry and demand accountability. Days after
the gun industry's party at SHOT Show, multiple horrific acts of gun
violence in my home state of California, killed at least 18 people and
wounded at least 10 others.

It's tragedies like these that motivate me to continue in this work, and
make sure we demand action. [ [link removed] ]Add your name to our petition to join us in
holding the gun industry accountable for this deadly crisis.

Weapons like the one used in Monterey Park are made by a gun industry that
profits off keeping these weapons of war in civilian hands. The fact that
a gun like the one used is even commercially available to civilians shows
how little certain actors in the industry care about public safety. We
know guns are the leading cause of death of kids and teens in America and
create so much fear, grief and trauma in communities across the
country–including within the AAPI community.

We don't have to live like this, and our loved ones should never die like
this. We won't stop fighting to end gun violence and holding the gun
industry accountable, to honor the victims and survivors of this tragedy
and all forms of gun violence.
