Here are some updates from today and yesterday.

Today, a New York appellate court affirmed a lower court's decision ordering New York’s independent redistricting commission to draw a new state Assembly map by April 28. The original map was struck down after courts found it was not enacted via the proper process. [link removed]

Yesterday, a judge in Colorado dismissed defamation claims made by a right-wing group, the United States Election Integrity Plan (USEIP). Last March, voting rights groups sued USEIP for voter intimidation after the vigilante group showed up at voters' houses, sometimes armed, and questioned their voting habits. Yesterday, Nevada Gov. Joe Lombardo (R) announced his vision for election law changes: moving forward the ballot receipt deadline so voters have less time to return mail-in ballots, altering Nevada’s mail-in voting system so all voters are not automatically sent a mail-in ballot unless they request one and more. These proposals are unlikely to pass the Democratic-controlled Legislature. [link removed]
