Friend, thank you to many of you that helped us meet our budget deadline and gear up for a year of programming — by supporting New Politics, you are helping make an impact. Our work was centered around helping candidates win their elections last year. Now, we’re redirecting our attention to increase recruitment and program infrastructure to help prospective candidates. Keep reading to learn more ⬇ After the midterm election, we opened applications for a new pilot program. Accelerator is a program designed to provide down-ballot candidates with the information and resources needed to launch a winning campaign. Applications close on January 31st. Last cycle, we saw many of our servant leaders run for re-election and others running for the first time. 70% of our candidates who won their elections have military service background, while the other 30% have national service background. We elected candidates up and down the ballot from 27 states. Phillip Jones is a Naval Academy graduate and Marine. He grew up in Newport News, Virginia, and dreamed of serving his home community by running for Mayor. In the 2022 election cycle, the opportunity appeared and Phillip jumped into the race.
