Hey folks —

Most of you have probably been asking yourselves, “What the heck is going on with air travel lately?” And guess what? You’re not alone!

To say air travel has been a mess would be putting it very, very lightly. And just when you thought things couldn’t get any worse, the Federal Aviation Administration’s computer system crashed [[link removed]] , grounding every flight in America. How could this happen?

Well for starters, the FAA currently has no permanent administrator. You heard that right: the top post at the nation’s LARGEST transportation agency is empty. But it’s not like we don’t have someone ready to take over – we do! His name is Phil Washington, you probably know him as the current head of Denver International Airport.

In fact, President Biden has nominated Phil TWICE for the post. But, some of my colleagues on the other side of the aisle aren’t budging. And as a result, American travelers are dealing with canceled flights, nonstop delays, and tons of fees.

Americans deserve better than this. The Senate should confirm Phil Washington so we can fix these issues. If you agree, sign our petition below 👇
