John -- I know we sound like a broken record, but redistricting isn’t over. Our affiliate is supporting voters in states like Alabama, where unresolved challenges over the Voting Rights Act continue to loom in the Supreme Court.
Conservative lawmakers in North Carolina are exerting their extreme views and seeking to block fair democracy and representation. At the heart of this fight for fair maps, conservative state legislatures are attempting to gain power over state elections without state courts' involvement.
No oversight = Less accountability
In other key battleground states like Ohio and Georgia, tense battles arise as extremist conservatives attempt to impose election laws that stiffen voters' access and opportunity to select fair representation.As they continue to stoop lower in their attempts to disregard the constitutional rights of voters across the country, we will continue to mobilize our grassroots activists to ensure we raise the alarm in courts and communities across the nation.
