John, we are writing you today, two days after Roe v. Wade’s 50th anniversary, to tell you change is on its way to Pennsylvania.

We have to do everything we can to make sure it’s positive.

50 Years After Roe v. Wade, State Courts Are the Last Line of Defense for Abortion in Pennsylvania --- Bucks County Beacon

Last September, PA’s Supreme Court chief justice passed away. This November, Pennsylvanians will make their voices heard on who they want to represent them on the municipal, local and judicial levels including the open seat on the highest court in the Commonwealth. With the overturning of Roe v. Wade last summer, many constituents have already seen the U.S. Supreme Court’s impact on their lives. As NPP’s CEO, Kadida Kenner, states:

"We must turn to our own state courts, now transformed into the last line of defense for abortion access and all sorts of other fundamental rights and freedoms, including our freedom to vote."

This year we are dedicated to fighting back against “off-year” election turnout by continuing our work of voter outreach, civic education, and engagement centering the Commonwealth’s historically disenfranchised and underrepresented communities. Can you pitch in $10 today to help us continue expanding the electorate and standing up for our freedoms?

Pennsylvania Supreme Court justices have the ability to shape our political landscape for possibly more than a decade to come.

With the all-out assault the U.S. Supreme Court is waging against our fundamental freedoms, it is more important than ever that we have a strong state Supreme Court willing to defend them.

We are reaching out to communities far and wide in order to educate voters about the importance of this election, and every election for that matter! That is why we are asking you personally, John, to donate $10 right now to help get Pennsylvanians registered to vote and ready for these critical upcoming elections!

The New Pennsylvania Project was founded in May 2021 to expand Pennsylvania’s electorate, so it reflects the Commonwealth’s demographically changing population. In the next four years, NPP will engage and empower young residents and those living in underrepresented immigrant communities and communities of color. We register communities to vote, provide civic education about the issues that matter in their neighborhoods, and mobilize Pennsylvanians to vote in every election.
