Senator Diane Feinstein has introduced her federal "assault weapon" ban (AWB), hoping to take advantage of the recent shootings in California and the losses the Republicans took in the Senate to force it through.

While she has introduced similar measures before, this year is significantly different. Pro-gun members are at their weakest, and with AWBs spreading across the county the administration is confident this could make it through, which is why we need ALL your support!

STOP THE 2023 "ASSAULT WEAPONS" BAN!

Like the previous iterations, this bill would ban the sale, transfer, or manufacture of "assault weapons."

More specifically, the bill would:

• Ban the sale, manufacture, transfer and importation of 205 firearms by name.
  
  
• Ban any "assault weapon" with the capacity to utilize a detachable magazine and has one or more "military" characteristics including a pistol grip, a forward grip, a barrel shroud, a threaded barrel, or a folding or adjustable stock.
  
  
• Ban magazines and other ammunition-feeding devices that hold more than 10 rounds of ammunition.
  
  
• Require a background check on any future sale, trade, or gifting of an "assault weapon" covered by the bill.
  
  
• Require that grandfathered "assault weapons" are stored and locked away, not readily accessible. 
  
  
• Prohibit the transfer of standard capacity magazines.
  
  
• Ban bump stocks and other devices that impact the rate of fire of semi-automatic firearms.

They must not read the decisions that come from the Supreme Court, the founding documents of our country, or supporting writings because this is a blatant middle finger to all of that and all of us. 

We all must turn out and demand our Senators reject this bill!
