| I want you to hear this from me first: I’m endorsing Mayor Pete Buttigieg to be the next President of the United States. In a time when our nation is deeply divided on many issues, we need a candidate who can bridge those gaps and bring us together. Our next president must be ready to heal the divisions sowed by Trump, and champion bold solutions for the most pressing challenges of today’s world. I believe the best candidate to do that is Pete. We’ve all seen the damage Trump has done in the past three years. He isn’t working for the American people, he’s putting his cronies and special interests ahead of hardworking families in New Hampshire and across our country. Trump’s recklessness is clearest when it comes to health care: He has actively tried to repeal the Affordable Care Act at every turn, trying to take us back to a time when people with pre-existing conditions would be denied care or burdened with increased costs. In a Buttigieg administration, Americans will have access to health care that everyone can afford. Pete will be a president who prioritizes education, opportunity, higher wages, a carbon-free clean environment and much more -- policies that’ll allow all to succeed for generations to come. This is precisely why we need Pete. Every family in America deserves a chance to succeed, no matter who you are, where you live or who you love.
