When I was sworn into office almost seven months ago, I wasn't sure what to expect. For 17 years, I'd been serving families as a pediatrician -- I was about as far as you could get from what I imagined a career politician might be.

But thousands of people like you believed in me and stepped up to help flip the 8th, so now I'm stepping up like I promised to fight for you.

This year, I've helped pass bills to make prescription drugs more affordable, raise the minimum wage, protect our democracy, and protect our communities from gun violence. I'm honored to work for you each day and to serve as a voice for all Washingtonians.

But some other folks aren't as excited about the progress we're making in Congress.

Republican super PACs and special interest groups are already ramping up their efforts to take back the 8th district, so I need your help.

My end-of-month deadline is tomorrow at midnight and it is vital that we hit our goal. We're only $7,421 short -- can I count on you to chip in $5 or more now?
