john,
$18.50.
That’s the average contribution to our campaign over the past two years. And while it may seem like just a statistic to you, it represents so much more to me.
Every time someone donates to support this work, it reminds me of the grassroots movement, much bigger than you or me, that I’m fighting for every single day on the Senate floor. A coalition of everyday Americans who believe our government should work for everyone — not just the ones who are wealthy or well-connected.
It’s the same coalition of Americans who turned out to vote in record breaking numbers during the 2022 midterm elections, protecting the Senate Democratic majority that the pundits had written off.
It is abundantly clear from the results of the election that the majority of Americans favor reproductive rights, climate solutions, affordable and accessible healthcare, common sense gun laws, and fundamentally — sanity and truth over election denialism and conspiracy theories.
Republicans are determined to cling to power by any means necessary — threatening global economic turmoil over the debt ceiling and holding Medicare and Social Security hostage, appointing MAGA extremists who voted against certifying the 2020 election to committee chair positions — and promising more chaos to come.
But we’re not letting them off the hook. We’re going to keep building our grassroots movement, and we’re going to keep moving forward. So I’m asking, john:
With the first monthly deadline of the year fast approaching — will you join the tens of thousands of grassroots supporters and pitch in $18.50, or any amount you can afford, to keep building our movement together?
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
By the time you’ve read this part of my email, someone has already chipped in $18.50, and they’re hoping you will too. We will always be stronger when we come together and work towards a common goal.
It’s going to be a tough road ahead, but I know this grassroots team has what it takes to keep us moving forward. Thank you for being an important part of our work.
