SPLC testifies before congressional hearing on financing of domestic terrorism
The SPLC’s Lecia Brooks testified yesterday before the U.S. House Subcommittee on National Security, International Development and Monetary Policy about how technology companies can disrupt the operations of hate groups. We’ve been pressing internet companies to create policies to ensure that their social media and payment platforms aren’t used by white nationalists and other extremists to promote hate, raise funds and spread radicalizing propaganda that can lead to domestic terrorism.
