Hello Friend, Last night, newly elected Governor Joe Lombardo delivered his first State of the State. Much to our expected dismay, Lombardo wants to implement vouchers, roll back criminal justice reforms and implement harmful voter ID laws to decrease voter turnout. Have you seen our statement or the Democratic response to Gov. Lombardo's State of the State yet? We know that the next four years will be a fight but we must remain strong as we continue to push for Nevadans to have access to healthcare, housing, education, and access to voting. Each of these issues will be at the center of our legislative advocacy in the coming 2023 Legislative Session, as we work to defend against attacks on issues impacting Nevadans daily while making progress on issues essential to working families. We refuse to go backward, regardless of the new Governor. Just to recap, Governor Lombardo, proposed the following things that will negatively impact people in our state:
Friend, our promise to you is that we will continue fighting back and fighting for each and every Nevadan that will be impacted by these proposals. We cannot go backward on voting rights, healthcare access, and education. Nevadans deserve better. We need YOU in this fight. Please sign up to be a storyteller or a volunteer as we move forward. Thanks for always supporting our work! We will get through this! Fighting for you, |
