The path to taking back the House runs through New York.
As you all know, this past midterm, Democrats mostly averted a much-predicted red wave. But not in New York.
New York saw the biggest shift to the right of any state in the nation, experiencing a 14-point swing towards Republicans and electing a far-right fraud in George Santos. This year, Congress will have the largest Republican delegation from New York in decades.
With as many as five flippable House races, New York is an important battleground for control of Congress in 2024. The Working Families Party is uniquely positioned to build the infrastructure needed to deliver a Democratic majority in the House in next year’s election.
But we need to start laying the groundwork now. That’s why we’re focused on recruiting strong candidates to run in key Congressional districts and launching an aggressive communications plan to put Republicans on their heels.
