John, one truth about human trafficking is that children are even more vulnerable than adults.
As of 2022, an estimated 1.6 million children have been trapped, trafficked and forced into commercial sexual exploitation around the world — a rise from a recently estimated 1 million. That could fill the city of Phoenix, Arizona.
This Human Trafficking Awareness Month, we hope you will hug the children you hold dear to your heart and remember the girls and boys held in sexual slavery. Every child deserves a childhood.
