Two new ransomware attacks are hitting health care providers, including hospitals, with demands of up to $1.5 million. The “BlackCat” and “Royal” malware attacks enter through innocent channels and then spread fast, collecting personal and business records. Both started in Europe but the majority of their attacks are now on U.S. entities. The American Hospital Association and top federal government agencies are sending out strongly worded warnings that these attackers are experienced and “highly capable.”
