"‘A State by State fight’: Legal battles over redistricting continue into the new year." -- Yahoo News
"Redistricting Commission votes to send map to legislature for recommendations." -- The Daily Montanan

REDISTRICTING IS ON THE AGENDA IN 2023. HELP ALL ON THE LINE TAKE ACTION NOW! >> [link removed]

We're still working in several of our target states, which could significantly influence how the next decade of elections unfolds.

Anti-democratic tactics loom as a plot to seize every ounce of power as map manipulation goes unchecked. By the end of 2022, every state had a new congressional map, but legal challenges to the redrawn districts have persisted into the new year. In one example, lower federal courts in Alabama determined that the state's congressional map likely violated the Voting Rights Act by discriminating against Black voters.

In other redistricting news, states like Montana are pushing to remove politicians' power grabs, establish independent commissions, and push for redraws to progress toward a more fair redistricting system.

It's not time to go silent in the new year, John. There are times to prepare and times to seize opportunities. That is the formula for progress. Donate to All On The Line today to boost their strategy forward for fair redistricting. >> [link removed]

The fair map movement's next phase has begun. Your contribution now helps our on-the-ground organizers around the country have all of the tools they need to confront map manipulation and our litigation team can continue to challenge gerrymandered maps in court. And so much more!

I cannot imagine going back and feeling like I didn't do enough to convey the significance of this moment for the next decade of elections. Contribute to All On The Line today! >> [link removed]
