John,
This week marks 50 years since the Supreme Court’s landmark decision in Roe v. Wade in 1973.
For 49 years, Roe protected the reproductive freedom of millions of American women and affirmed that everyone has the right to make their own health care decisions.
But last June, everything changed when extremists on the Supreme Court upended decades of precedent and overturned Roe . Abortion bans have taken effect in 13 states – and abortion access is on the line in dozens more.
Everything we’ve fought for is at stake in this moment. Overturning Roe is a threat to the health, safety, economic security, and basic freedoms that we cherish as Americans. The far-right is determined to take us backward – and we can’t let them get away with it.
It’s going to take all of us working together to restore abortion access and protect reproductive freedom. If you’re ready to keep fighting for abortion rights, then please add your name to our petition today. [[link removed]]
