We’ve sent a few fundraising emails today, and this is another one. Please give us a chance to explain why these messages — especially today — are so important.

Here is the truth:

Political campaigns cost a lot of money. Too much, honestly. You know that.

There are two ways you can raise that money. You can go the route Senator Sinema has gone and ask the wealthy and powerful to write huge checks.

Or you can go the route Ruben is going, and that's raising most of his money by inspiring lots and lots of people from all backgrounds to make small donations of whatever amount they can afford, whenever they can afford it.

What you may not know is that almost all of those donations come in response to emails like this one. So we hope you’ll see these messages as a small price to pay for replacing Senator Sinema with Ruben Gallego.
