URGENT RESPONSE NEEDED: Do you think Congress should ban assault weapons?
YES [[link removed]]
NO [[link removed]]

John,
On Saturday evening, a gunman used a semi-automatic pistol equipped with a large-capacity magazine to kill 10 people at a dance studio in Monterey Park, CA. Ten more people were critically injured, one of whom tragically died today in the hospital.
Twenty minutes after the attack, the gunman walked into another dance studio with this gun where a 26-year-old man bravely disarmed him. We have reached a point in our nation where civilians are fighting to save lives from gun violence with their bare hands – while Congress fails to ban assault weapons.
In only 22 days of the new year, there have been 36 mass shootings – The mass shooting this weekend is the worst since 19 children and 2 teachers were killed in Uvalde, TX, last May, where the gunman also used an assault weapon. These weapons are the common link between all of the deadliest mass shootings in the US and it is long past time to get them off our streets.
We’ve pleaded with Congress to do something to address our gun violence epidemic, but they continue to fail us. So many lives have been lost to gun violence because our lawmakers don’t have the courage to stand up to the gun lobby and pass common sense legislation like an assault weapons ban. We must honor the victims and survivors in Monterey Park with action and fight to stop the next tragedy.
Can you help us show Congress that the majority of Americans support banning weapons of war? Right now, we need 500 more responses to our urgent survey before midnight and I’m counting on our committed grassroots supporters to speak out today. [[link removed]]
