John,
Now that this new Congress has begun, I have once again introduced my bipartisan legislation to ban members of Congress [and our spouses and dependent children] from buying or selling individual stocks.
In our day-to-day work, we receive briefings and have discussions with industry leaders that should inform the governing choices we make, not the stocks we buy or sell.
Our constituents should know that with every vote and decision, we are looking out for our constituents, not their financial portfolios. To continue this important mission in Congress, I need your support. Will you contribute to our campaign today?

The consensus on both sides of the aisle is clear: Americans don’t want their members of Congress trading stocks while doing the business of the people. My bill is a commonsense ethics reform.
Work like this is vital, and I’m proud to spearhead it in Congress. To make sure I can maintain the promising momentum behind passing my bill, I need your support. Will you invest in our campaign right away?

Thank you for your confidence,
Abigail
