Time needed to complete: 45 seconds
The House will soon vote on a bipartisan resolution standing with the brave Iranian protesters demanding basic human rights and freedom from the oppressive regime.
In recent months, the Iranian regime has:
- Killed over 517 protesters, including more than 68 children.
- Arrested over 20,000 people who have taken to the streets demanding freedom.
- Executed at least four protestors and sentenced many more to death in sham trials.
America must support the Iranian people’s struggle for freedom and ensure the Iranian regime knows that the world is watching.
Please take just 45 seconds to tell your representative to support this bipartisan congressional resolution backing the Iranian protesters.
Background
Bipartisan House Concurrent Resolution 7 — authored by Reps. Claudia Tenney (R-NY), Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ) and Michael McCaul (R-TX) — puts Congress on the record in support of Iranian protesters and in opposition to Iran’s brutality. The resolution also calls on the administration to take further actions to stand with the protesters, including immediately imposing additional human rights sanctions on the regime, supporting internet freedom programs and other methods to circumvent censorship.
