I'm running for Senate because Montanans deserve a senator who is fighting for us, not putting our health care, public lands and economy at risk.

Just last year, Steve Daines voted to repeal the Affordable Care Act, and roll back Medicaid expansion. Not only would that take away health care coverage from around 100,000 Montanans, it would also cause some of our rural hospitals to shut down.

Montana has 12 rural hospitals that were considered at risk at the beginning of last year by the American Hospital Association, and all of them were considered essential to their communities. They depend on Medicaid expansion. So why would Steve Daines essentially vote to gut them?

Well, Daines already has corporations and special interests lining up to bankroll his campaign. He thinks that his corporate cash is going to be able to cover-up the serious risks that he is exposing our communities to. We can't let that happen. The only way we're going to defeat him this November is if we continue to show the power of our grassroots team every single day.

We are so close to hitting our mid-month goal, but we still need to raise another $1,027 before tonight. Will you contribute $5, or whatever you can, to help us get there?

Unlike Steve Daines, I'm not relying on corporate PACs to fund my campaign. And when I'm in the Senate, I will truly be working for the people of Montana, not corporate interests.

This race is crucial -- not just for Montana's families, but for the future of our nation. The path to a Democratic Senate majority runs through Montana this year, and it's up to us to rise to this challenge so we can end the era of Republican obstruction and move our nation forward.

I know that we can defeat Steve Daines, take back the Senate, team, and defend our healthcare, but we have to work as hard as we can and meet all of our fundraising goals to stay on track.
