John,

While we always said that Roe was the floor, not the ceiling, we won’t lie: It was difficult knowing anti-abortion activists were celebrating Roe’s fall at what should have been the 50th anniversary of the constitutionally protected right to abortion during this weekend’s March for Life.

So, what did we do with this feeling? Channeled it into action!

Did you catch us in Washington counter-protesting? If not, check out these awesome photos!

This fight is going to be long and it’s vital that we allow ourselves to grieve the loss of constitutional protection for abortion access. But it’s even more important that we commit to actionable steps towards protecting and expanding the right to access abortion for all.

Fighting stigma? Educating about self-managed abortion? Working to get safe and effective abortion pills in the hands of everyone who needs them?

Yep, we’re doing that.

Join us.

Sincerely,

Shireen Shakouri
Deputy Director, Reproaction

P.S. There’s more of us: the majority of Americans want abortion to be legal. And we’re fighting back. [1]
