on a day that would normally be spent celebrating

Dick Durbin

John,

Today marks 50 years since the Supreme Court’s landmark decision in Roe v. Wade. But on a day that would normally be spent celebrating a monumental win in the fight for reproductive rights, this year is different.

Since the Dobbs decision overturning Roe last summer, we have already seen more than a dozen states completely ban abortions or make them nearly unobtainable. In other states across the country, Republicans are continuing to attempt to limit access to abortion and other reproductive care.

This is unacceptable, and I will keep working toward federal legislation ensuring the right to the full range of reproductive care. Add your name to my petition now to join me in the fight to protect abortion rights.

Today, we are reminded that it is more important than ever to protect reproductive freedom and codify the rights guaranteed by Roe v. Wade into federal law.

On Roe v. Wade’s 50th anniversary, we’re counting on our grassroots supporters like you to make your voice heard and help us protect access to reproductive health care.

Sign my petition if you agree: We must codify Roe v. Wade into law and restore and protect the full range of reproductive health care, including abortion >>

My best,

Dick Durbin
