JOhn, today is the 50th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision.

But instead of being able to celebrate this landmark ruling that federally recognized the right to choose, we're now in the aftermath of Roe being overturned.

Over the last seven months, millions of Americans in nearly half the states have lost the right to reproductive choice — the result of a decades-long project by Republicans to stack the courts with extremist judges who ignore precedent and widely-recognized freedoms.

Today, I am thinking of everyone who has been forced into an impossible situation by restrictive and regressive state laws, and I am more determined than ever to stay in the fight to restore the rights that Roe granted us for nearly five decades.

Securing abortion rights nationwide starts with taking back the House, and we can't do that if Republicans gain ground in my swing district. Will you donate $10 to help me fend off a tough challenge and continue to fight in Congress for reproductive freedom?

When I was in the Virginia State Senate, I stood against Republican laws that placed undue restrictions on the right to choose. I championed bills to remove unnecessary waiting periods and repeal TRAP laws targeted at women’s health clinics.

In Congress, I've repeatedly voted to federally protect the right to choose – something any Republican replacement would never do. I'll continue to champion reproductive freedom as long as I'm in Congress, and I won't let the far right intimidate me.

I'm working hard to help secure a strong pro-choice majority in Congress, but I can't do it without you. Your grassroots support today will help us secure VA-10 early, and aid Democratic incumbents and challengers in swing districts across the country.
