John, this year, something is different.

Today marks the 50th anniversary of abortion access for Americans through the decision of Roe v. Wade, or it would have been if the Supreme Court had not struck it down in 2022. For the first time in decades, Americans have entered the new year without federal abortion protections. And because of that, GOP politicians across the country have lept into action to finally restrict abortion nationally. They’ve done so right here in Ohio, where they passed one of the most extreme abortion laws in the country.

These laws are unacceptable, and we need Congress to act and codify Roe now. John, will you sign the petition to demand Congress pass federal abortion protections?

Without Roe v. Wade, millions of Americans have been put at risk. We already saw the harm caused by Ohio’s law when a 10-year-old girl was forced to travel out of the state to receive an abortion. As devastating as that story was, the worst part is that until Congress restores federal abortion protections, these stories will continue to occur on a regular basis. We can’t wait for another second, John. Congress must act now on abortion protections.

Add your name to our petition demanding Congress pass federal abortion protections. When the Supreme Court overturned Roe, millions of fired-up Americans voted to hand the GOP a huge loss in the Senate and hold off a red wave in the House. Now, it’s time to demand that Congress represent the will of the people and protect abortion nationwide. Can we count on you?
