In short, Tom’s plan puts cash back in the pockets of working families, and it will be paid for by closing loopholes and making corporations and the wealthy pay their fair share. Tom is passionate about building prosperity for all Americans, not just the wealthiest few. Everything he plans to do as president — from sweeping structural changes in Congress to immediate action on climate — is centered around empowering the people. 

 

His Working Families Tax Cut is no exception: It will give families a 10% tax cut, institute a wealth tax, end Trump’s disastrous tax cuts, and help redirect resources to education, health care, and child care. This tax plan will also drive America forward by creating long-term, well-paying jobs with a $2 trillion investment into our infrastructure.

 

For working-class families struggling to balance health care costs and child care costs, this means a little more breathing room to make ends meet. For the top 5% and big corporations, it means paying their fair share and giving back to the economy responsible for their success. For America, it’s one step toward economic equality.
