Friend,
Today is the 50th anniversary of the landmark SCOTUS ruling in Roe v. Wade, which federally protected the right to abortion care.
Over the past year, that fundamental right has been stripped from millions of people following the devastating Supreme Court ruling to reverse Roe.
On the 50th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, join us in calling on President Biden to preserve and strengthen abortion access across the country >>>
The reversal of Roe has had a uniquely detrimental impact on people of color, immigrants, and those with limited resources. That’s why we’re emailing you today: Our fight for immigrants’ rights is inextricably tied to our fight for reproductive rights and health care for all.
Despite the setback we’ve faced in the courts and challenges ahead in Congress, we have a president who was elected with a clear mandate to enact bold, progressive change. It's crucial that President Biden use his political capital and executive authority to protect access to abortion for everyone — including immigrants — this year.
In short, we are asking President Biden to:
- Give *all* people in detention access to abortions and full reproductive care
- Ensure everyone is able to safely travel to receive reproductive care
- Make sure abortion resources are accessible to all
Friend, join us in calling on President Biden to take action on reproductive freedom today >>>
Our message to President Biden 50 years-post Roe is this: Now is the time to take action to defend our fundamental rights.
Thank you for adding your voice in this important moment.
Sincerely,
Jenny Rejeske
