Today marks the 50th anniversary of the landmark Roe v. Wade decision that, up until last year, guaranteed our constitutional right to an abortion.

Now, our freedom to access abortion care — a freedom that was stripped away by right-wing activists on the Supreme Court — is not determined by federal protections, but simply by our zip codes.

Women in states where abortion has been banned or criminalized are living in fear, and it's disproportionately threatening low-income women and women of color the most.

What's worse, the new Republican Congress, which has been co-opted by the very fringe right, has made banning abortion nationwide a top priority. In their first few days, they've pushed two measures to restrict abortion rights, and they will stop at nothing until our reproductive freedom and fundamental rights are utterly wiped out.

But it doesn't have to be this way. We can't sit back and allow ultra-conservative politicians to get between us and our doctors and dictate our private health decisions.

This is one of the most important fights of my entire time in Congress — and I need your help. Will you chip in whatever you can right now to ensure I can keep standing up against the continued attacks on our reproductive freedom? [[link removed]]
