Folks,
On this day in 1973, the Supreme Court issued its decision on Roe v Wade – guaranteeing the constitutional right to an abortion in the United States.
50 years later, women no longer have that guarantee. And here in North Carolina, we’re witnessing a full-scale Republican attempt to roll back protections of your reproductive freedoms and strip women of control of their bodies.
I will always fight to protect reproductive freedoms. And I am asking you to make your voice heard and tell North Carolina Republicans to end their attacks on reproductive rights >>>
Just a few days ago, Republican Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson keynoted an anti-choice rally at the same time the Republican-controlled legislature is considering legislation to restrict access to abortion in our state.
Across the country, women’s lives are now at risk because politicians are trying to take away their right to get the medical care they need.
I won’t mince my words, team: I will always stand up for women’s reproductive freedoms. No politician should tell you how or when to start a family or interfere with the health care decisions you make in consultation with your doctor.
Today, on the 50th anniversary of the Roe decision, I am asking 1,000 supporters to join me in calling on North Carolina Republicans to end their attacks on reproductive freedoms >>
Thank you,
Josh Stein
