CADEM Statewide Officers Released the Following Statement on the Mass Shooting in Monterey Park
LOS ANGELES, CA – The California Democratic Party's Statewide Officers Chair Rusty Hicks, Vice Chair Betty Yee, Vice Chair David Campos, Controller April Verrett, and Interim Secretary Diana Love released the following statement on the mass shooting in Monterey Park:
"Once again, we find ourselves both heartbroken and angered beyond words at the senseless gun violence in Monterey Park. After a beautiful celebration of diversity and vibrancy of California’s AAPI community, this violence marks a tragic beginning to the Lunar New Year. Our thoughts are with the lives cut short and the lives forever changed. California Democrats will continue our work to rid every community of these tragic and painful moments. "
