Hi Friend,

I think it’s safe to say you would never buy anything without knowing the full price upfront… or without being able to shop around and choose what works best for your budget and needs.

This is even more-so the case when it comes to health care: the largest sector of our economy and one of the largest sections of your budget. That’s why price transparency is so sorely needed in our healthcare system.

Speak up on the latest price transparency rules if you agree
  • Price and health information belongs to YOU, the patient.
  • Patients deserve to know the total price of their care, including secret negotiated rates between insurers and healthcare providers, as well as the patient contribution.
  • Real prices, including negotiated rates and out-of-pocket patient costs, are essential to patient decision-making.
  • Prices for healthcare services should be publicly disclosed upfront, before you schedule care, in a real time, easy-to-access, digitally searchable format.
  • Patients should be able to access their own electronic health records, including financial information (such as upfront prices and billing and claims information).
The administration just extended the comment submission deadline for their proposed price transparency rules to January 29 at 11:59 p.m. ET. So you have TWO weeks left to submit yours.

Support price transparency in health care by submitting comments before the January 29th deadline.

Thanks,

Hadley Heath Manning
