50 years ago today, in a 7-2 decision, the Supreme Court guaranteed a woman’s right to an abortion in the landmark case Roe v. Wade.

And then, last June, an ultra-conservative Court struck it down.

Tens of millions of women were immediately stripped of their reproductive freedoms, as trigger bans and decades-old anti-choice laws started going into effect. And it seems every week we hear of a new restriction working its way through a statehouse, looming over the millions of women it threatens to oppress.

And forced birth extremists still aren’t satisfied. On Friday, the March for Life marched right past the U.S. Capitol as a signal to Republicans that they are pushing for a federal ban on abortion. And several Republicans, including House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, have expressed support.

Everything is at risk — and the time to jump into this fight is right now. It’s critical that we fight this fight everywhere: In the courts, in the statehouses, and yes, in Congress. We need more women in every room where decisions about our bodies are being made. We NEED more women in Congress standing up for our right to choose.

Today, on the 50th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, please consider making a donation on behalf of the tens of millions of women who need someone fighting for them. Your support can’t come soon enough:

I know this fight can be brutal and exhausting. But I have your back, and I hope you’ll have mine, too. Together, we’ll stand up for each other and win back the rights our mothers and grandmothers fought for.

Thanks,

Katie
