Exciting news! Trey and I are headed to West Virginia next month for the second annual Black Policy Day hosted by West Virginia Black Voter Impact Initiative, a Groundwork Grantee, and other local leaders and organizations.
What it is: Meals, roundtables with WV lawmakers, youth activities, policy discussions, vendors, and more all centered around the Black policy framework.
Why it’s important: Organizing, centering Black priorities, and building power in the Black community is a critical part of our shared work towards equity and justice for all.
What you can do: Last year’s Black Policy Day was the first of its kind and this year there are even more ways to engage! Groundwork Project is proud to be a sponsor for this year's event and now we need you to help maximize our impact…
You can read more about Black Policy Day and RSVP to attend (in-person or virtually) to support the work of our friends at WV’s Black Voter Impact Initiative.

Groundwork makes hyper-local investments that build power among the under-represented in disenfranchised regions. We are proud to sponsor West Virginia Black Voter Impact Initiative’s Black Policy Day and their work to educate and engage with Black policy priorities in Appalachia. However you participate, thank you,
